Who we are

Crop Resize Compare ("the tools") is run by Astelverse Private Limited, a company registered in India ("we", "us"). We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we keep

• A copy of each file you open. When you choose or drop a file in Crop / Watermark, Combine images, Images to PDF or Text compare, a copy of that original file is uploaded to our servers. This includes anything inside it, such as the name, photo, number or address on an ID card.
• Nothing else about you. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number. We don't save your IP address, file name or device details with the file; the copy is stored under a random name.

We do not keep text you type or paste into Text compare, your crop, resize or watermark settings, or the finished files you download. The editing itself happens in your browser.

Why we keep it

To run, maintain and improve the tools, investigate problems reported to us, and protect the service against abuse. We don't sell your files, use them for advertising or share them with anyone, except where Indian law requires us to.

How it is protected

Files are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in an encrypted folder on our servers. Only authorised staff can access them, and there is no public link to any stored file.

How long we keep it

Copies are deleted automatically 30 days after upload.

Your choice

By opening a file in the tools, you agree to a copy being kept as described here. If you don't want a copy of a document kept, please don't open it in the tools.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete a file early, or ask what we hold. Because we store no name, email or IP address with the files, we may not be able to tell which file is yours; give us the date and time you used the tools and a description of the file, and we'll do our best. In any case every copy is deleted after 30 days.

Children

The tools are not meant for children under 18. Please don't open documents belonging to a child without a parent's or guardian's consent.

Contact and Grievance Officer

Questions, requests or complaints about your data go to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
